Founded in 1968 in Rosa Morada, Sinaloa, by Jorge Hernández and his brothers, they soon emigrated to San Jose, California, where their distinctive norteño style and narrative corridos began to resonate deeply with the immigrant community. Affectionately known as 'The Bosses of Bosses' and 'The Idols of the People,' their music transcends entertainment; it is a social chronicle that gives voice to the struggles, hopes, and realities of millions.
They have released over 80 albums, sold more than 40 million copies, and participated in over 16 films. Their awards showcase includes 7 Grammys and 12 Latin Grammys, a testament to their excellence and enduring relevance. Los Tigres del Norte not only perform songs but tell the stories of their people, addressing themes such as immigration with 'La Jaula de Oro,' drug trafficking with 'Contrabando y Traición,' and love with 'Golpes en el Corazón.'
