FC Pro Vercelli 1892

Football Club Pro Vercelli 1892, rooted in the city of Vercelli, Piedmont, is an emblematic Italian football institution with a rich heritage dating back to its founding in 1892. The club is celebrated for its dominance in the early decades of Italian football, a period in which it amassed an impressive seven Italian Football Championships (1908, 1909, 1910–11, 1911–12, 1912–13, 1920–21, and 1921–22). This era of triumphs earned them a prominent place in the history of the sport in Italy. Their characteristic white colours have earned them the nickname "Bianche Casacche," while their fighting spirit on the pitch is known as the "Leoni."

The team plays its home games at the Stadio Silvio Piola, a venue with a capacity for approximately 5,500 fans, named in honour of the legendary Italian striker who began his career at the club. Despite initial successes, the professionalisation of Italian football and the rise of clubs from larger cities led Pro Vercelli into a gradual decline, playing its last Serie A season in 1934-35. Nevertheless, the club has shown resilience, managing to return to Serie B on several occasions, most recently after a 64-year absence in the 2011-12 season. Currently, Pro Vercelli competes in Serie C, keeping alive the flame of its historic football tradition and seeking to revive past glories, offering its supporters the chance to witness the passion and pride of a club with an unparalleled history.
